Description : An International capital equipment builder is currently conducting an employee search for FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERS in Winnipeg, Vancouver, Montreal and the Saskatchewan Province. They manufacture industrial cutting lasers that have a wide source of applications industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, energy, and medical industries.

Required background:

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience preferred and a working knowledge of CNC capital equipment, laser capital equipment, or related capital equipment.
  • Extensive background in mechanics and electronics.
  • Strong communication skills needed for customer contact.
  • 4 year University Degree

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install and demonstrate CNC laser capital equipment at customer sites.
  • Trouble shoot and repair machine problems.
  • Train customers in use and repair of machines.
  • Report technical conditions and information from field.
  • Work with minimal support and supervision.
  • Travel to customer sites in designated territory.

Description : Our client is looking for a Coordinator, Electrical Energy Services to support and assist the Energy Services Manager with the development, project management and implementation of electrical designs to support services and functional areas.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Completion of a Canadian apprenticeship program in electrical technology with a focus on building wiring and power distribution, or,
  • A technical diploma from a recognized institution in a field related to electrical design or equivalent proven international sports event management experience related to temporary power distribution.
  • Five years experience in installing or designing power distribution systems and electrical infrastructure in Canada (600V distribution experience).
  • Three plus years working as part of a project team delivering high quality and reliable power infrastructure systems.
  • Previous experience working in a multi venue environment, both indoor and outdoor.
  • Experience in management of client related services and sponsor relationships.
  • Experience in the delivery of temporary power infrastructure for events such a major sporting, concerts exhibitions and theatre is a definite asset.
  • Proven ability to coordinate high performance teams in a fast paced/dynamic environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Canadian electrical codes (both CSA and BC Electrical Code) and their application in building distribution systems.
  • Good knowledge of BC Building codes, design and construction criteria, as well as technical temporary installations.
  • Able to read, update, maintain and summarize technical design and construction drawings.
  • Excellent computer skills including, but not limited to use of software for word processing, CAD, spreadsheets and databases.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the successful candidate will work across the company on the development of the company’s products with respect to materials and processes.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Collecting inputs from project stakeholders, defining project requirements, validating benefits and preparing business case as may be appropriate
  • Engineering design and “Hands-on” work within the department
  • Preparing project budgets and costing reports
  • Co-coordinating interdepartmental efforts and inputs required during the course of the project
  • Planning and organizing project activities, preparing detailed project completion with specific milestones, decision points, timelines and responsibilities
  • Actively progress projects, including preparing project status reports, resolving conflicts and ensuring timely project completion within defined budgets
  • Interfacing with various government agencies and third party contractors and/or development partners as may be appropriate

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Good knowledge in plastics, adhesives and silicones
